Marriage Still on, Everything Seems Normal

This was the last day I had texted Casey asking how everyone’s doing. The previous week, for 7 days, she went on a vacation with her daughter, my then-step-daughter who was 14 and left Cecelia with me to have fun with. It was a wonderful week I had with just Cecelia, who was 2 at the time.

She returned that weekend, and on Monday left again with both girls, for another vacation. As a teacher, she has the whole summer off.

June 10th, which was the Friday of that week, I texted her and told her how much I had been getting done while the three of them were gone because I wasn’t having to stay up all day and night with Cecelia.

Her response was that yes, I probably was getting a lot done because I was getting up at 7-7:30 am and not staying up all night and sleeping until lunchtime. Meaning staying up all night to feed and look after Cecelia, which I also did all day, and then going to bed at 7:30-8 am and sleeping until noon, just to do it all over again day in and day out. I was going on ~4 hours of sleep a day so I could take care of Cecelia, while Casey watched TV and produced milk into bottles for me to feed her during the day and night.
