Murder in S.C.

I used to watch this guy all the time. I find it very entertaining to hear the way he relays these stories, almost like an expert witness at a trial. He is a psychiatrist, from what I gather, since he calls himself Dr. Todd Grande. (I’m always a little skeptical when it comes to people who not only insist on others calling them “doctor,” but they even call themselves that.)

I watched several of his videos and then saw a pattern—a theme, if you will(that sounds like something he would say)—and they are very dark. Many of them, if not most, deal with murder at the very least. And some are almost out of the X-Files they’re so weird. Scarily, he seems to have no lack of material and churns out new videos all the time.

Although I have a dark side, I don’t like to dwell in darkness. Therefore, I cut out watching him for a while. I don’t know what it was about this particular video that caught my eye (Maybe it was the “blow up doll” part – I have no idea what marketing hook worked), but it made me think about any similar women I know—and that’s not just because it happened right down the road from where I currently am, over in Horry County.

The story covered in the video is interesting in itself, as is his analysis. I believe an underlying theme with Megan, the main subject of the video, is addiction. To me, someone familiar with alcoholism and addiction, Megan is a raging alcoholic. I’m surprised that didn’t become a bigger focus at her trial. It’s pretty obvious to me, which can and does cause all sorts of other massive dysfunction, for EVERYbody.

That aside, what this case illustrates is that there are some bad women out there. It took me decades to discover that—ultimately the hard way—but it was something that had been shielded from me my entire life, ever since birth. It’s particularly a phenomenon we see today, where we’re always told “women: good, men: bad.” It’s “the narrative.”

I was also fortunate enough to be surrounded by some very nurturing, caring women and amazing females while growing up. I knew the bad guys in jail were all men, most of the bad guys I saw on the news were men, and all the villains in the cartoons I watched were men. So it just didn’t cross my mind that women could have such a dark streak in them, especially back then.

But not every female is cut out to be a mother. Or, as in Megan’s case, even a part of society. They have children for various reasons, including control issues, money, accidental pregnancies, and ultimately, the dysfunction blows the whole family apart. What is even left of whatever “family” there ever was. In Megan’s case, she had 4 bastard children on purpose. If the woman is prone to narcissistic personality disorder, addiction, and overall dysfunction, anything can happen—and does.

I think a reason for this might be that females are often wolves in sheep’s clothing. To be clear, here, I have a precious sweet angel of a daughter, so I am, in no way, am saying all females are bad, at all. But I’m old enough to know some now. This is just a warning.

With men, or I think with most “bad men” their behavior is NOT very subtle. It’s pretty easy to separate the losers and jerks from the winners. But with women, it’s much more subtle. It’s just how females are, I’ve learned.

I guess with that said, I’ll provide a bonus video on a channel I would recommend any young man watch in detail, and take notes. Females too, but I think what he covers would be extremely educational for young men, between 15 and…probably 56 or more. He gives you the “why” not just the “what.”

Incidentally, I waffled on whether to include this post in my Life Lessons Series here. But I think it’s too “mature” for that. I want to keep it PG, at worst. And this isn’t for young eyes. Yes, I’m old-school and traditional.
