I File a Motion to Amend the Prior Order of Protection

I filed a motion to amend the Prior Order of Protection, was granted a hearing date of June 17. I notified the Petitioner’s attorney, who was very curt, to be polite.

I showed up, the attorney did not. The Judge explained she wanted proof that I sent a filed copy to the Petitioner’s attorney, and sent me home empty-handed. A total waste of time. I waited 4 hours to see the judge for her to turn me around and walk me back out. This isn’t a fun battle for what’s right and the resources available, meaning the Court and JUdge overseeing our case is throwing up obstacles and delaying matters with no consideration of the relationship and emotional well-being of the child and parent involved.
