Slipup with Judge Leads to Breakthough

Today is Monday, which means “Motion Hour” at 11:30.  That’s when the judge typically puts things on her docket to hear at a later date in more detail, meaning more than 1 minute. The way they talk about their caseload, you would think they never worked in the private sector. Which is likely the case. So after waiting my usual 4 hours to be the last person spoken to, which is the usual way we work together these days, the judge got to me. And I explained to her that I wasn’t trying to prove I “knew more than…

I Have my motion in front of the Judge at CSH Suspending Service for No Reason

As usual, my meeting with the judge once again yielded no progress, no help, and no nothing. No one’s interested in Cecelia but me. I’m her attorney. The judge is more interested in procedure, the other attorney is more interested in being paid by the mother, who is interested only in herself, and paying the…

Got a Subpoena for the Records, Which don’t Exist

Today, as I promised the people at the Children’s Safe Haven, I went and got a Subpoena to gather the documents from the Children’s Safe Haven since they refused to cooperate in any way. When people refuse to show or give you something, it’s not because they’re proud of it. They’re trying to hide something. And this whole thing is fishy, and at best, the operations at the CSH are as sloppy as a 5-year-old’s toybox. No…

Childrens Safe Haven Texts me that my 1 Hour with Cecelia is Cancelled this Week

SO I get a text at about 9:30 this morning from the “Children’s Safe Haven” which his the for-profit facility, entrusted by the state and judicial circuit court 6 to oversee supervised access to children by their parents. What could possibly go wrong? Lots of things. And of course, they are at every step. Last week my 1 hour with my daughter was suspended 3 days after my visit because, according to the person that was there, and no one else, no supervisor, manager, or anyone, touching my daughter’s head with a sanitary wipe…

EPO Hearing Day Comes, I’m Served Divorce Papers as I enter the Courtroom by Her

The date for the EPO hearing comes. I have an emotional breakdown in the courtroom, which is unlike me, a very stolid person. She serves me divorce papers as I enter the courtroom as a “welcome back, good to see you.” The case is dismissed within 10 minutes because she had no case. There was no evidence, and reason to consider her lies. She hadn’t ever called the police because there was never a reason to, and she was making things up. This allowed me to see Cecelia for…

An EPO is filed against me, along with the Divorce Petition

The Sherrif shows up at the door to serve me with an EPO, which I’d never heard of before. It was a motion for a restraining order for me, basically, because she was claiming to be afraid of me. After 10 year of being together, forgiving her of some very foul activities at my and my bosses’ marital expense, and being married for 7 years, and helping raise her daughter for 10 years….

She Has left Me Forever, Back in Town, Left Everything Behind and Filed for Divorce

The night before, late, I realize something’s not right. I check the bank account to see where she has used the credit cards and ATM, and it’s empty. Al our money had been removed from our accounts. I send her a text to let me know where Cecelia was so I didn’t have to file an Amber Alert. I get a text back to call her attorney. That’s Monday morning. She left everything behind at the house for me to deal with, had taken her meager wardrobe from the trip before, and had the children. I…

Something is Wrong

I send an unanswered text asking her to confirm if she and the children were alive and OK and if she could confirm her location. Something seemed wrong, obviously.

Marriage Still on, Everything Seems Normal

This was the last day I had texted Casey asking how everyone’s doing. The previous week, for 7 days, she went on a vacation with her daughter, my then-step-daughter who was 14 and left Cecelia with me to have fun with. It was a wonderful week I had with just Cecelia, who was 2 at the time. She returned that weekend, and on Monday left again with both girls, for another vacation. As a teacher, she has the whole summer off. June 10th, which was the Friday of that week, I texted her and told her…

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day. The family goes on a hike together: Megan, Cecelia Casey, and Michael. Photo of smiles and happiness. This was around one month before the family was torn apart with no reason given at all. I post this photo on Facebook with the caption: Happy Mother’s Day to the Best Mother ever. I love you!  Little did I know what she had in store for me. Cecelia is 2, Megan is 14. I have been helping raise her since she was 4.After the separation which was coming in 2 weeks, she would never speak to me again.
